We Are Getting a New Roof!
The Charlevoix Area Community Pool (CACP) is excited to announce that we will be getting a new roof. After much discussion, deliberation and investigation the Pool Board has decided to move forward with an opportunity to replace our almost 20 year old roof that is in need of repair. Costs will be covered by donations from Pool supporters. The CACP appreciates all community support and expresses a big Thank You for making this possible.
Bogart’s Roofing and Siding of Charlevoix has been awarded the contract and will start immediately making repairs and replacing the roof. It will take approximately two weeks to complete. The Pool will remain open with normal business hours during construction.
The Pool Board has been discussing several possible additional projects that we see as important to keeping our facility up to standards, including looking at some exciting potential additions. The roof replacement was our highest priority. Stand by for a new roof and other news!

US Coast Guard Ice Rescue Training
During two weeks this November, USCG utilized the Charlevoix Area Community Pool for their Ice Rescue Training. Participants came from all over the Great Lakes Region. With already having their Ice Rescue Certifications, the training was for how to become an effective instructor. They will now return to train their local USCG units and area Fire Departments, Police Departments, DNR, and other Search and Rescue (SAR) Teams. Last year, this USCG program was estimated to affect 131 civilian agencies and 1,800 SAR partners.
