Welcome New Head Swim Team Coach Megan Smithburg

Megan Smithburg has been dedicated to swimming for over 24 years. She was a competitive swimmer for four years in high school, trained as a lifeguard and also coached the local community swim team's age 10 and under division. After earning a Bachelors of Science in Nursing, she became employed locally as a nurse and lives in Charlevoix with her husband and three boys. Her children are also eager to participate on the Stingray Swim Team.

Megan says, "My background as a nurse, combined with my past coaching, teaching and lifeguarding experience, enables me to provide the support, motivation and success needed to be a terrific Head Swim Coach."

Megan's goal is to build a swim team that not only excels in swimming but also values discipline, dedication to skill development, teamwork, and most importantly, fun.
