PROGRAMS
If you are looking for a gentle fitness class, resistance training, or a high-intensity swim cardio class -- we have you covered. We also have independent exercise, special Olympics training, lifeguard certification, and recreation programs.
Aqua Exercise Classes
Aqua Exercise Classes are a great way to stay in shape, work on mobility and balance. We offer three levels of classes that meet several times during the week. Your first class is free and there is no registration needed. Just arrive about 10 minutes early to get signed up. We have large locker rooms for men and women and also two private bathrooms that have showers and lockers. Both men and women attend these classes.
Aqua Ex
General Aquatic Fitness Class
Aqua Ex is a type of resistance training in the water that reduces the risk of muscle or joint injury.
Moderate Aqua Ex
For those looking for a more challenging workout than Twinges, but not ready for the Aqua Ex Class.
Twinges
Improve Joint Mobility Class
This is a program designed for people with arthritis and joint impairment. Exercising in the water exerts less pressure on the joints, yet promotes flexibility, mobility and strength, while minimizing pain and stiffness. All ages are encouraged to participate.
Independent Exercise Options + Recreation
Lap Swim
Get in a lane and go! If you would like, participate in our swim challenge where you swim at your own pace to meet your own goals. At the end of the challenge we celebrate with a little party!
Independent Adult Fitness (IAF)
Work independently and at your own pace on resistance exercises utilizing equipment available at the Pool. Children are not allowed in the pool during IAF.
Open Swim
Swim, play, shoot hoops and have plain old fun in the pool. This is a great time for families and children to have fun in the pool. Everyone is welcome to use our pool toys.
Other Programs
Swimmers with Disabilities
This program encourages physical fitness, sports training and exercise for children and adults with intellectual disabilities within a relaxed atmosphere. Participants swim laps and work on stroke skills and endurance. If desired, individuals may pursue competition independently through Special Olympics. You do not need to be an accomplished swimmer, beginner swimmers are welcome. Although we do not provide an instructor, if an aide is required to assist a patron, the aide can swim free.
